2010/06/30 - Rohde and Schwarz, a leading supplier of Test and Measurement equipment to the mobile industry has secured orders for its R&S®TSMW universal radio network analyzer from a major Tier One cellular network operator in the United States.



The R&S®TSMW universal radio network analyzer was selected for its drive testing and coverage measurement capabilities after an extensive evaluation. The R&S®TSMW is currently deployed in multiple regions in addition to Rohde & Schwarz products for basestation maintenance, interference hunting, and mobile device certification.

With the selection of the multi-technology R&S®TSMW Scanner with it’s unique capabilities, Rohde and Schwarz becomes an integral part of helping this Tier One Operator maintain their existing network technologies along with preparing them for the next generation 4G deployments

The R&S®TSMW Scanner is the only scanner that can perform parallel measurements in a frequency range from 30 MHz to 6 GHz for up to seven technologies: WCDMA, GSM, CDMA2000, 1xEVDO, WiMAX™ , Tetra and LTE. Designed as a scalable multitechnology platform with a measurement bandwidth of up to 20 MHz, the R&S®TSMW universal radio network analyzer is well equipped to handle future network configurations.
